Why? Are all male hygiene products exempt from sales tax?
I'm talking about tampons and sanitary napkins. These are necessary items that women HAVE to purchase, therefore they should not be taxed. I am not talking about soap here.
I agree, but I guess I'm asking why not men as well? I don't like a sales tax period, I just disagreed because it's not a large enough exemption for me.
Eric pls explain what are the necessary male hygiene products that you absolutely need to use????
For hygiene? Lots. If I'm uncircumcised? Even more. But I should clarify why I disagree. As a libertarian I don't like taxes period, however if you are going to impose a tax then it should be equal for every person, not separated. There are no "gender rights", "sexuality rights", etc. You have human rights. What's fair for one gender is fair for the other, because both genders are for humans. Rights don't exist beyond one's humanity. Hence "all men are created equal". I don't like the exclusion of a gender in the debate, I would agree if it went further to encompass each gender by representing humans as a whole.
A sales tax is one of the most hidden and little-noticed taxes. All products should be exempt from it.
Why not male hygiene products as well? We need to be clean too.
By feminine hygiene products I mean tampons and sanitary napkins. Women cannot get by without these products. If a man has a period than they can take advantage of the products being tax exempt.
Men need to shave and groom themselves too. Just pay the tax like we all do. You can do it, I believe in the femininity!
All taxation is theft.
