    Of course.

God does exist, just not in the traditional sense of existence. Rather than trying to find and understand, you just accept!

I'm not even sure if this can be a debate.. I find it very difficult to debate such subjects given religion and the existence of god is a personal matter and no one can convince you given that there are no real evidence.

Does Batman exist? Yes he does. In our minds and there's printed paper as proof of his existence. I think God exists as much as Batman. We created gods, so they exist. Just not in physical form or whatever.

But really, you can barely debate that topic. Faith means "no evidence necessary", so there's nothing you can say to change that, so there is no point in debating it. Even if we could build a camera that can travel in the past and deliver video proof that all religions were made up, people would still believe in them.

So i let them. Who am i to tell the Batman fanclub that Batman does not exist? Do they even care? No. Faith is not about whether Batman is real or not. It's about enjoying the movies.

However, what i'll never tolerate are parents who force their kids to believe in Batman via social pressure. And especially people who cut off parts of their kid's genitals because they think Batman told them to. Not cool. Teach the kids that many superheroes exist and let them pick one, all or none themselves.

I think that is the most likely scenario, yes.

            Consider this two questions:
            (1) What is God to you?
            (2) What does your religion tells you about God?
Many people don't realise that the answer of those two questions can be different. When one realises it, it could be the time to give up the religion (or adjust it accordingly).

@wisnuops I am an ex-hindu. Irreligious as of now. God to me is any form of supernatural higher entity. Designer or not , good or evil, charectistics are irrelevant. But anything surpernatural is equivalent to God (or ghosts if you consider god only to be a designer and stuff.)

I concur with the Batman argument above. If there were no gods to pick from we wouldn't have a wild and varied mythology from all corners of the world with such interesting characters as Thor, Shiva, Athena... So what if they don't exist... They are our man-made idols.
