A number of fallacies in this debate is mind blowing, so much assertion without any reasoning. You guys can do better than this.

I'd like to hear the response to the arguments stated in his opening statement

I think Trump has been demonized by the media and if he's given a frickin break, he might actually get some work done.. that said, his travel ban is kinda fucked up.

@trentr26 It really isn't. It's something several Presidents have done, specifically written into the Constitution for exactly times like these, in order to protect Americans from foreign threats.

@deusvult I don't remember any President imposing something like that during peace and without a tangible threat, let alone resulting in legal citizens being stranded in airports and resulting in chaos. ISIS and terrorism exist for years now as well as a number of other threats but this is not a good enough reason to close your borders in this way

      @trentr26 It sure is.

@deusvult I voted for Trump, I support him and most of his policies. But this one is too much. I'm not in that camp of trump supporters that will blindly support everything he puts forward. You have to look at this more objectively... what exactly is the problem we are trying to solve with the ban? American deaths at the hands of Yemenis? How many times has that happened?

    Shots fired

OMG @switchlurk this troll has no idea what he is talking about... I guess that's why he needs to hide his face ;)

@switchlurk seems quite experienced in proper debate while @deusvult is resorting quickly to ad hominem

@drsteve I suggest you watch some of his others debates. the same things again and again like a broken machine. Just labelling anyone who doesn't agree with him as "lefty" (I think I was a baby the last time I heard people called lefties hahaha)

@drsteve Switch did not move to points of personal privilege, but his rhetoric was littered with fallacies and arguments from ignorance.

@drsteve I freely admit I have no experience in debate outside of this website.

@deusvult seriously dude? You keep repeating your ignorant narrative again again and you dare insult your opponent's intelligence cause he doesn't agree with your narrow minded approach? @switchlurk great job at keeping it civilized, using logical arguments, not getting into his trap and showing that you have a complete view of things

that a heated one! I think @switchlurk has more solid arguments, I hope @deusvult manages to address them rather than keep asking questions...

of course @deusvult doesn't want to talk about anything else other than muslims, it's like he has no response to allllll of the other policies Trump has and all the arguments @switchlurk is making

Guys feel free to leave a closing statement if you'd like

@deusvult I suggest you meet some muslims and visit some of the countries to experience the real characteristics of islam e.g. hospitality, respect, family values etc. Sure they are not as "progressed" as the west but they do live and breathe the same core values that you pretend to have. Also, try to learn a thing or two of how to debate, respect your opponent and rebut arguments

@votesaad I lived in Afghanistan for 2 years, and visited several others over the years. He may be taking a hyperbolic stance, but it is not immediately wrong.

@votesaad no, they really don't. and I don't think all of islam is horrible, there are some things they do better than we do. for example, the Marxist propaganda destroying Western nations by promoting and celebrating degeneracy, sluttiness, abortion and sin would never be allowed in a muslim country and I respect that. but their entire view of world domination and ruling by fear and terror and violence is awful and the West has no place for it.

@deusvult Fallacy of composition, break the distinction down by sect in Islam. Wahhabism is the main terror brand, and the bulk of the Muslims who do not follow Wahhabism do not agree with that proposition.

@alot_like_locke Agreed especially when you're talking about Afghanistan, Saudi and the likes. But making general statements about a whole religion and almost 2 bn people based on Afghanistan or Saudi is not right. As mentioned, these countries tend to be less progressed, but his views are mainly product of the west propaganda

@votesaad True, but that can easily be used to deflect the very serious problem with Islam. It is by far the most oppressive religion.

@deusvult World domination? There are almost 2 bn muslims in this planet and they tend to fight among themselves rather than against other religions. Maybe you confuse them with Crusades. Ruling by fear and terror? Again I think you are confusing them with the current US President. I do encourage you to interact with more muslims and to expand your views

@votesaad you obviously do not understand the crusades, which is understandable but being so vociferous about the subject is plain ignorant. Islam is not a great religion, and should barely be tolerated by the west.

@alot_like_locke the only muslim who should be allowed in our parts of the world should be forced to denounce sharia, jihad, and any and all parts of their own ideology that strictly conflict with our values. enough is enough. the rape epidemics and violence need to end, and they need to end now.

@votesaad all they're fighting over is who gets to dominate the other. it's the most backwards and unevolved ideology on the face of the planet.

@deusvult as much as I agree, those are useless parameters.

@alot_like_locke What do you mean by "useless parameters?"

@deusvult denouncing something for whatever reason is useless, because you do not know whether or not these actions are legitimate or just a talking piece to get closer.

Always great watching @deusvult! He is quite brave to finally say all the things that most of the people are thinking about but they are scared to actual say.

For the record, I agree that Saudi Arabia should be on the list.

Banking is immoral? Despite the fact that it was a government intervention into the market that forced banks into the position. If you do not know what you are talking about, shut up. Then asserting that that is how Goldman-Sachs got rich, THEY ARE A 100 year old bank. Your hindsight is 100/20.

Snowden should be executed based on any just war scenario. You can blanket expose corruption without blasting thousands and thousands of other documents which revolve around geopolitical power grabs. That is treason, and should be punished as such.

Switchlurk has much better understanding of social studies, psychology and geopolitics, desvult is just throwing ethnic nationalism and biased evaluations against muslims and basic Fox news commentary he got 15 % for a reason.
