You would think so right???? As well as the Head of Education I guess etc.
Yes, that means clean air and clean water. Nothing more or less.
@meta_self Removing restrictions on coal reduces the quality of air though. And anyways, solar, wind, and nuclear are all much better alternatives to coal.
@jeffery95014 Not practically. They need a lot of work.
@meta_self While they are imperfect, they are far safer than coal. I will admit that there are issues with renewables that natural gas does not have; however, one has to acknowledge that we don't have an infinite supply of fossil fuels. We need to at least start making changes to our energy policy to be prepared for what lies ahead.
@jeffery95014 As for now, we better use what's there.
@meta_self In all fairness, I agree on oil and gas. They work while we develop better alternatives. Coal, on the other hand, we should move towards phasing out. It's dangerous, and pollutes far more than other fossil fuels.
@jeffery95014 Look up clean coal technology.
@meta_self Even with clean coal, you cannot reach the same lack of emissions as oil, gas, or nuclear. What's more, pollution is also generated by coal mining.
@jeffery95014 It's all being worked on. My area is powered by gas.
Yep, and heads of pharmaceutical companies should believe in providing life-saving drugs to patients. And religious leaders should uphold the morals of their religion. etc.,etc.,etc. Unfortunately these things often don't happen
