dude on the right got obliterated..@debateme13 killer opening statement ..!
@votesaad you should watch the whole debate... $10 billion to build a wall will reduce $100 billion of illegal immigrants. What do you have to say about that?
@armanydepaul couldn't have said it better...Illegal immigrants are ALREADY committing a crime by being here illegally. They must get in legally to start with.We are a nation of immigrants but we are also a nation of LAWS!
@torimarie Also we spend a TON of money on people here illegally who often just send the money out of the country. It blows my mind that people think there is any reason to justify allowing someone who is illegally here to say. Almost no other developed country that cares about it's culture and borders treats illegal immigrants as kindly as the US does. If people have an issue with the way immigration works, then use the democratic system to fix it and write your congressman. The great thing about our country is if we don't like most things, we can change them by going through the democratic process.People who are for illegal immigration sometimes make good arguments like @debateme13 has here, but even with his points it doesn't negate that people are breaking the law and they have no right to be here. You don't become a family member in someone's home if you sneak in at night and sleep in the attic for years. That's a perfect analogy and yet some people can't grasp the simple fact that breaking into someone's house or someone's country is wrong either way and you don't get to become a part of that home or country if you do so illegally.I could type about this all day but I have other things to do. @armanydepaul, while I think you are right, your rhetoric needs a little more work. I would get some more sources for your debates in the future. There's a massive amount of information backing up your viewpoint and if you could have organized it and presented it as well as your opponent, I think you would have won. Then again, this website seems to vote largely liberally and so the vote for topics like this usually go towards the liberal viewpoint but I think the judgement was fair by @jcosta5.
@theantifeminist I was taking more of a libertarian viewpoint than a liberal one, but otherwise I agree with a lot of your analysis.
@jcosta5 Thank you for your review. I agree that I tended to repeat my main contention too much, rather than adding new refutation or studies. I'll work on that for the future.
@jcosta5 In the future it would be great if you put the mic a little closer to your mouth. It's very hard to understand what you're saying.
