Slavery was mentioned explicitly in the secession document. Anyone who tries the old "It wasn't about Slavery!" argument is a racist engaging in deflection. http://www.esquire.com/news-politics/news/a28014/civil-war-was-about-slavery-022814/

@arkle would you like to debate this right now?

@arkle let me know about availability. You have a strong opinion obviously, can you even defend it?

@bronsonkaahui No. There's nothing to debate. It is a fact.

Here's another link relating to the topic. https://civilwartalk.com/threads/what-the-confederate-states-constitution-says-about-slavery.72233/

I could share more, but I get the feeling you'd skip over those as much as you apparently skipped over the first link I posted. I mean, you wrote "can you even defend it?": as if I hadn't already, which I did.

@arkle so you cant rationally discuss this issue? Youre bringing up points that arent in dispute because youre not intelligent enough to figure out what my actual argument is. But without even knowing what my argument is, you could never possibly hope to refute it.

@bronsonkaahui "so you cant rationally discuss this issue?. Youre bringing up points that arent in dispute because youre not intelligent enough to figure out what my actual argument is."

You say things like this, then wonder why I won't H2H with you. If you can't see why what you said is so wrong, then there's really no point in trying to explain it to you.

"But without even knowing what my argument is, you could never possibly hope to refute it."

      Except I already refuted it.

@arkle there are two problems with your logic.

      1) YOU opened up with Im a racist engaging in deflection. In fact, youre the one deflecting because you cant rationally defend your position.

      2) You cant actually refute my argument if you cant accurately state what my argument is in the first place.

You clearly did not watch the debate. So, if you were rational you would probably try to figure out what my argument is before critiquing it.

@bronsonkaahui "1) YOU opened up with Im a racist engaging in deflection. In fact, youre the one deflecting because you cant rationally defend your position."

In that order, it IS racist defelction, and I already did defend my point. With sources.

"2) You cant actually refute my argument if you cant accurately state what my argument is in the first place."

You say that, yet I refuted the argument made in the very name of the topic, which was claerly the point you wanted to convey. So if I can't refute it, then how come I have?

" So, if you were rational you would probably try to figure out what my argument is before critiquing it."

If you were rational you'd have understood a long time ago that the Civil War was absolutely about slavery and only racist idiots are still trying to debate this 100+ years later.

@arkle you couldnt debate this subject with me if your life depended on it which is why you have to run and make excuses like the coward you are and always will be.

@bronsonkaahui Fine, sure, whatever. Keep telling yourself that. Maybe one day you'll actually believe it. *eyeroll*

@arkle the evidence speaks for itself. Youre a pussy who has to make excuses like a little bitch lol.

The american civil war was built around the economic differences between the north and the south.

    http://teachinghistory.org/history-content/beyond-the-textbook/23912

secession was just a by product outcome of those differences.
