@arkle I'm looking forward to our video debate on the topic, though it seems you accidentally denied it :(. But in the meantime I think it be fun to have a community debate on the topic. Good luck friend! Can't wait for out video debate for all to see :) :) :) :) so excited
@joedinner Nothing accidental about it. I won't H2H with you. You are not worth the effort of seeing if my late father's laptop will work with QallOut since my home PC won't for some reason. In the thread that spawned this topic alone you should eitehr an unwillingness or inability to axtually read what I was writing. The stuff you were saying was in response to arguments that existed solely in yoru head, and didn't even rhyme with what I ACTUALLY said.
@arkle aww I'm sorry about your late father :(. that's really sad. First your therapist now your father. I'm sorry. Thats truly awful.
@arkle umm arguments don't have to rhyme. This isn't a rap battle. But for you I will try to rhyme all my arguments with yours :). Whatever will make you feel more comfortable.
@arkle Awesome! thats exactly what I've been thinking :)
out of curiosity why are so many people unsure or disagree? This is actually a philosophical truth.
Could you explain this a bit more? I don't see the difference between meaning and properties here.
@meta_self Thats kind of the point actually. If a word lacks meaning than it lacks properties. Which a pretty well known philosophical truth.True?: A is B.Well, If A is not a meaningful term then the statement cannot be true. (to sum up a logic game as fast as possible)A is B: must be false. Some context: this all started when someone stated that alt-left was anti-fascist, but that their is no alt-left... so I was kind of poking fun: "if there is no alt-left, then they can't be anti-fascist". And he heavily disagreed, so here we are lol. Basically, I find some people on here get so emotional about their claims, they'll ignore basic logic/reasoning.
@joedinner Have you heard of pragmatics in the study of lingusitics and semantics?
