The BLM movement has done more to bring ACTUAL changes in policy and behavior than any other black initiative today. Violence is an unfortunate consequence of the movement, not it's goal.
Minorities need more movements like this. Lynn you are spot on. Violence was not on the agenda for BLM but it happened due to anger with racism that is present in every part of society whether people want to admit it or not. This movement brings those issues to the forefront and it is making a difference!
This may actually be the dumbest thing I've seen on this site yet, and I saw someone call Bernie Sanders a warmonger.
If this movement ends then black people go back to being unlawfully shot by cops and cops get away with murder over and over again. Institutionalized racism is a huge problem obviously but BLM is about looking to change ONE of those institutions.
classic case of narrow mindedness, whoever agrees with this illinformed motion
First statement is correct. However one cannot say its sole purpose is to incite violence, it does however incite a hatred towards the police in America. Institutionalized racism is bullshit since universities and other organizations practice affirmative action.
The BLM has encouraged America to seek violence and hate upon all police. There is footage of BLM protests chanting "death to police" and violent rioting in their own communities (bashing storefronts and stealing from other black shop owners). This wasn't the dream of MLK and shouldn't be encouraged. Violence never should be. I don't know how anyone can say there should be more protest groups like these. We are not given the right to protest violently in the constitution.
Let's see, we have lies, videos taken out of context,, treating property as being more valuable than Black lives, an invocation of the sanitized version of MLK from American history books, and concern trolling.Yep, we got ourselves a racist ladies and gentlemen.
How is he racist... One of the issues he stated is theft from Black store owners... Come up with an argument instead of attempting to discredit his argument by labeling him as a racist.
How is the video of a black lives matter protest chanting "death to police" and "pigs in a blanket--fry them like bacon" taken out of context? what context would that ever be warranted in?
Because you're extrapolating small groups of people to an entire national movement. Also, cops have MURDERED people on video and gotten away with it, but a chant you think shouldn't be allowed to slide? Piss off.Edited to correct minor spelling error.
Exactly, they are trying to fight fire with fire. Which is what MLK was so against because it only leads to deaths not progress.
Black people are the only group of people I see that a few people holds weight on the many. Idk if you people are being affected by the propaganda or what. Stop using what's relevant in every group against all to try n stop the movement, ask yourself why does BLM cause fear and insecurities for you. For some reason through out U.S history groups of blacks insight fear in white people, always doing something to discredit the movement(s). Lastly BLM had already made statements saying they do not support violence, so why is this still a thing?
