    Just a note: Chromosomal mutations usually lead to sterility.

    (Klinefelter's Syndrome, Turner Syndrome are the big ones)

        @sigfried Bioethics. Some people I know are raising the issue of consent to have your genes modified. And while I do think making changes to an unborn person's genes is unethical, I don't think that it is the same thing as treating a chromosomal mutation.

      So this is the genetic modification of Sperm and Eggs in order to prevent certain traits from being passed into prospective offspring.

      That is perfectly ethical to me.
