@cynthiajeub @austin_janik We have a tie between community votes and our first judge so we will bring a second judge to make the final decision!
@gigi This is the third time I've lost the majority vote and had the first judge vote for me. May I ask that the tie-breaking judge be someone new? It was the same person for my first two rounds and even if it ultimately hurts me in the competition overall, I want to make sure the final decision is as fair as possible.
@cynthiajeub Hey, not sure what you mean? I checked your previous debates and you had Zoe, Andrew and Marisa. For this round you will get @jacksonk to make the final decision. Judges are impartial and they get chosen based on availability, their knowledge on the topic and their stance so that we can try to be as fair as possible. They also get evaluated by the debaters in the feedback survey and get incentivized and awarded by QallOut for their impartiality. DM if you have any feedback or if something is not clear!
@gigi (deleted my comment and sent you a DM)
That was a close one guys and the even the judges were divided..@austin_janik Congrats for advancing to the next round!@cynthiajeub Hard luck on this one - November registrations are now open: https://www.qallout.com/tournament
Nicely done. Thank you for a solid debate @austin_janik and I hope you have a good trip!
@cynthiajeub Thank you. Hopefully we can debate again in a future tournament. This was fun.
@austin_janik Agreed, and next time maybe we won't both be so pressed for time :P
