@pippenfts @citizenthom I thought this debate was truly excellent, great lines of clash and you weren't afraid to disagree with one another and illustrate that disagreement with real warrants and reasons to prefer the validity of your arguments. I will post a more detailed RFD later.

@pippenfts @citizenthom Great debate from you both. Feel free to ask me any questions you had about my RFD. So the one instance that I had to intervene (which I do not like to do) was because no side provided enough impact comparison. I did not insert any personal opinions when making that leap but I had to evaluate logically whether or not risk to a victim outweighed character development. Logically I made my conclusion based on the argumentation of the round.
ALSO- I forgot to add this point. PRO had a tremendous argument about the situation not being diffused and that the bully would just bully another (i.e. problem moves and isn't fixed). I felt this argument was extremely strong but the CON ultimately diffused it when he argued (using his studies and research) that higher power structures have a better chance of confronting the bully successfully and preserving the victim from harm.
@qallout I would love to be an RJ if you need one and I'm not competing, I will do more of these comments and hopefully they are useful.

I am blown away that no RD thought the victim blaming argument was as absurd as I did. If you're seriously not even concerned about this ominous correlation between this obsession over safety that began in the 90's, and the generation of intellectual embarrassments graduating college now, all I can say is you're eroding the framework of something we desperately need. Good luck with this whole society thing lol

I am impressed by Citizenthom. I saw something before I saw this debate that turned me off to him...as a bully himself. I can't recall in toto, but you'll remember a comment you made along the lines that "debate me and be prepared to be sledgehammered." I'm not one who's impressed with such hyperbole, bravado etc. It made me think of you as a dumbass, quite frankly. But, I was very impressed by your thoughtful argument here. You presented a very well-reasoned argument, although after your opponents opening comments, I favored him. You made me re-think my thinking...which I think is a first for me on this website...and you absolutely deserve my respect....at least so far. You not only won this debate...I think you crushed it.

@dorothy8532 This was my fourth debate. With more experience who knows how far I would've gotten on here. For a lot of reasons, including this debate, I've been discouraged from continuing participation. The main reason is logistical, time, but all of the moral relativism as well as no one thinking that his victim-blaming argument was as incredulous and ridiculous as I thought it was certainly discouraged my hope in the judges.
