water always finds its level and gravity is a theory not fact
@joshpatten3 The scientific meaning of "theory" is not any random guess. Unless you have evidence demonstrating gravity doesn't exist, your whole argument is invalid.
@joshpatten3 this is a really bad argument because mass plays a role as does gravity. And when you learn what those two things have in relation to each other concerning the size of the earth, then you can't possibly arrive at any other conclusion scientifically.
Define a globe. Are you suggesting the world is flat? Elaborate, what's your point?
Let's assume that there is a huge conspiracy theory co-ordinated across all nations on earth, scientists, governments etc to convince people that the earth is a globe for the last hundred of years.Apart from something like that being highly unlikely, what could be the reason for such an orchestrated effort?
This may seem like an out of the blue question, but bear with me.Are you a Holocaust denier as well?I've just noticed there tends to be a LOT of overlap between Flat Earthers and Holocaust Deniers. Like, it's closer to a circle than your standard Venn diagram.
The earth is a Globe. There are a great many proofs for this contention. One of the simplest is the behavior of the sun and moon in the sky. It requires no great scientific knowledge to examine. The sun and moon both rise and set each day, passing from one horizon to another, rising and setting.Furthermore, while it is day in one part of the world (aka the sun is showing) it is night elsewhere. These two phenomena, happening at the same time, require the earth to be a globe. Most flat earth models have the sun and moon rotating up "above" the disk of the earth and shining down only in a limited area of the flat landscape to explain the day/night disparity and the constant motion of the bodies from east to west. However, sunset and moonset in this scenario would never fall past the horizon or out of sight completely. These two simply observed phenomenon make a flat earth impossible to reconsile.
Define what a globe is to you.
I'm about 30% sure this is a trap prompt, because a "globe" is technically a three-dimensional perfect circle and Earth is somewhat ovular. They let me get all the way through law school without ever taking geometry though.
