@benmouse42 boo hiss!!! However, thank you for your time and insight and I look forward to my next debate.

@benmouse42 Thanks been, I do like a judgement that explains a path to victory for the other side. I think that's always a nice thing in understanding a Judges rationall.

My shotgun approach of 3 alternatives was an attempt to capture a range of ideological voters (though I knew this would be judged by you or Daniel, I still wanted to work an argument that could have broad appeal). Knowing hardcore free traders would find UBI somewhat unappealing, and that they don't take much persuading that a free market is always better, I included that as a kind of throwaway argument. Perhaps a cheap tactic, but I figured it had little cost and I wanted to experiment with negative strategies that could circumvent, or more accurately, exploit peoples biases.

I'm glad the UBI crossed the finish line for me here since it's the alternative I find most fascinating and appealing if perhaps the most unlikely.

@sigfried tbh my 'bias' is for minimum wage so youve lost me no matter what haha.
At the end of the day adjudications are on the quality of an argument. Spreading yourself too thin means your arguments lesser in quality.
Also aaron Kelley is still judging for us too! So we have more diversity than u might think :)

@benmouse42 I mean it for a more general audience. Although I'm competing for your vote to win, I'm also still striving for popular votes as well. They may not help me much in the tournament, but I like getting them anyway! Bias is less an issue with you and Daniel and Kelly, but I think it is significant for a broader audience.

    Hi @madmike

Happy to be debating against your crazy commie notions. :P lol

My best days are Sunday through Wednesday. I'm flexible with time so long as I know 24hours in advance. I'm pacific time. The timezone on the schedule is kind of broken at the moment.

I'd pick Tuesday the 27th at 7pm Pacific as my initial suggestion.

@sigfried I’m looking to dispel your anarchist destructionist beliefs and replace them with sensible one that support and supplement community cohesion. ;)

I can do either Sunday (tomorrow) or Wednesday evening. If Monday or tuesday would work much better for you, if you’re flexible with the time I can try and arrange something.

@madmike Sunday works, so long as its later in the day, I'll be sleeping in tomorrow most likely, and I'll need to do some prep. What is a good time for you?

@sigfried I’m going for any time really, how about 8:00pm central? But I could do earlier or later.

@madmike Sure 8pm central on Sunday it is! See you then.

    Enjoyed it as always @sigfried.

@madmike Curious that it didn't clear the comments like it usually does... I had fun with that one. I wanted to try out a different format, splitting up my analysis and arguments into different speeches. I guess the risk is that I didn't directly address as many of your points.

Good counter to try and frame out my UBI and Unions arguments. I figured with this tactic, I'd have to argue a bit about what the resolution means. I wanted to see if I could argue this so that people with a range of biases on the topic could all still find a reason to vote for me.

@madmike Oh, ya, and it was fun, thanks, Mike and good luck on the rest of pod 3, I'll be watching em all!
